Scott Elementary School

William J. Scott donated the property on which Scott Elementary is now housed to Atlanta Public Schools. He was a Baptist minister who ministered to Georgians in many different areas of the state. He made the donation of land because of his strong desire to advocate for children's education. Since that donation, William J. Scott Elementary School has continued to advocate the rights of all the students that enroll in this outstanding establishment.

Luther J. Price Middle School

Luther J. Price Middle School is located in the Carver Homes area of South Atlanta. The location of our school has long been a site of great educational institutions. Price Middle School was created from Luther Judson Price High School in 1987.

Our community is undergoing extensive renovations as new housing communities and business are being built. Just as the neighborhood has changed over the last five year, so has Price. We are a member of the new Carver Cluster and the South Region. We receive students from Slater and Thomasville Elementary Schools. Our students feed into Carver High School.

The mission of Luther Judson Price Middle School is to provide the opportunity for every student to develop to his or her maximum potential. Dedicated and committed staff members will provide challenging and rigorous instruction in all subject areas with the emphasis on Language Arts (Reading - Writing- Speaking- Listening), Mathematics and Science. Additionally, every effort will be made to increase student attendance and enrollment in higher-level classes.
